What Makes a Hero?

I received an e-mail today from a friend that was very critical of Benjamin Netanyahu.

Here are some of his words:

He tried to “Make himself an essential war-time leader, in order to put off facing criminal charges? That has a familiar ring to it.”

Here is my response:

The Netanyahu family has served the Zionist movement and the Jewish State since 1905. His father was an academic and editor of the Encyclopedia Britanica. Everyone in his family since 1948 has served with valor in the Israeli Army. He and his brother Yoni—who was the only person killed at Entebbe—see below, are revered to this day by the Israeli military.

Beginning with the Obama-Biden’s and with the help of Sr. operatives from our own USA intelligence agencies, the Shiaphilic position that was the antithesis of the conservative party in the Knesset and the conservative parties in Israel, was presented in the form of “lawfare” into the politics of The State of Isreal.

Because of his reputation before he was a politician, world respected businessman, valiant warrior on the field of battle and brilliant tactician according to none other than Moshi Dayan—not a political ally by any means, he has been able to weather the storm of faux political outrage that most likely had its’ birth in a CIA planted scheme thought up two Presidential cycles ago.

I have never been in battle myself, but it has been my experience taking care of many patients who have, that those that have actually experienced the horrors of modern war, are the most likely to not use military force unless forced to do so. Isreal had its’ back against a wall. His calculus was informed by his own real-life experience and the blood previously shed by his family for the cause of the Jewish People.

The famous quote of Golda Maier when she scolded the Palestinian rebels during her time as head of the Jewish State was recently referenced by Mr. Netanyahu: “I can forgive you for killing my own sons and daughters, but I can’t forgive you for making me kill your sons and daughters” These are words spoken by a person that knows their own suffering and who does not wish to inflict that same pain on another.

The people of Iran don’t deserve the leadership that is suppressing their free will and liberty. They are better off and so is the world because of what happened Saturday night. An Iranian-born Uber driver in Seattle on Saturday night was ecstatic about the bombing raids. He loved Mr. Trump. He was grateful for the ground held by the Jewish military. For the first time in 20 years, he thinks he may someday be able to go back to Iran. Most importantly, HE LOVES AMERICA.

“It’s not the critique that counts; it’s not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or how the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs solely to the man in the ring whose face is mired in dirt, sweat, and blood”. T. Roosevelt

Such a man is Benjamin Netanyahu.
