I have been writing for a year about Governor Little and how he has made a sharp turn to the left and no one seems to accept that fact. Well, citizens of Idaho, you must read a scathing article written by Blaze Media writer and senior editor at Conservative Review Daniel Horowitz. He backs up just about everything we have been saying about our Leftist RINO Governor and more. Mr. Horowitz pulls no punches in this dissertation of just how bad our governor is. He actually comes out and says that Californians moving to Idaho might just as well stay where they are in the sunshine because the political climate is just as bad in Idaho. About a year ago, Horowitz wrote an article about Governors not being Gods with all the impositions they were unconstitutionally placing on the people they govern. He talked about “observing the shocking tyranny committed by governors who, as of April 20, 2020, had unilaterally vitiated our most basic human rights without legislative input for a full month.” Little is still claiming there is an emergency so he can claim more ARPA money from the feds and we will have to deal with all the strings that are attached to these funds.
Horowitz goes on to single out Governor Little as one of those Republicans who continued exercising the “power of a king indefinitely”. He talks about SB1136 which passed the legislature the first time with overwhelming majorities in both the house and senate limiting the governor’s emergency powers to just 60 days. But when the second round came to a vote in the Senate, the RINOs came out of the proverbial woodwork. But as we have seen many times before, the governor has appointed himself King and would have none of his unconstitutional powers taken away and flipped five republican votes in the senate or just enough to sustain his veto. Guess who those senators were? The same RINOs we mentioned a week ago on the radio, Jim Guthrie, Patti Anne Lodge, Fred Martin, Jim Patrick, and Jim Woodward.
Horowitz goes on to say how “This demonstrates that the Republican Party in Idaho has been rotten to the core for years as conservatives have been complacent, by not selecting authentic Republicans in the primaries.” Something we have been trying to get across for the past 10 years. He is sending all Idahoan’s a wake-up call but will the citizens listen this time or just ignore this warning.
Horowitz talks about how Little criticized the legislature for a knee jerk reaction voting to curb his emergency powers and that it was unconstitutional but then goes on to say “This man violates every clause of the Bill of Rights, yet suddenly when the legislature tries to check that power, it is they who are violating the constitution” and cites Article I section II of the Idaho State constitution. All political power is inherent in the people. Government is instituted for their equal protection and benefit, and they have the right to alter, reform or abolish the same whenever they may deem it necessary; and no special privileges or immunities shall ever be granted that may not be altered, revoked, or repealed by the legislature. This is what we have been talking about since the beginning of this emergency. This is what Ammon Bundy has been trying to get across since his first arrest.
Many of the bills we have mentioned during this session are good bills (HB 339, 140, 291, 249) as are cited in this piece and they are bills that should pass and become law but again it is the Governor and the people controlling him that are hindering the efforts to get them passed. Anyone who has been reading the Gem State and listening to Tea Party Bob on the Kevin Miller show knows we have been talking about Janice McGeachin running against Little in 2022. What will be interesting to see is who President Trump will support, as Janice was the first Republican in the state of Idaho to support Trump and nominated him at the RNC convention for the state of Idaho. Will he pick a Fauchi follower like Little or pick someone like McGeachin who fought the lockdowns? Only time will tell but our bet is that McGeachin will get “the Nod” from Trump. We believe Little has played the game of pretending to be a conservative and a backer of Trump for a bit too long and we see retribution just around the next political corner in 2022.
Little is in the pockets of IACI and the medical establishment along with many of the large corporations and many of the restrictions that have been placed on businesses during his emergency have been on the small ones who don’t have the money to fight back. It is high time that someone sued this governor for the problems and hardships he has caused and maybe that is yet to come. One thing is for sure the people of Idaho are fed up with his antics and it is time for them to stand up and be counted in 2022 in the primaries and the general election. Little needs to go back to cattle ranching as they would make a better audience for him. McGeachin for Governor in 22 sounds like a battle cry that will be heard around the state and you can bet there will be a lot of disappointed elitists when she is elected.
