When we look back at our country’s history even the pledge of Allegiance to our national flag which has been in existence in one form or another since 1892 has been attacked time and again in the courts. In 1942 President Roosevelt signed the “Flag Code” law which established rules for the display and care of the flag and included the Pledge. It was 2 years prior to this Code in 1940 when the pledge was challenged by Jehovah’s Witnesses who lost their case in the Supreme Court only to be overturned by this same court in 1943.
In 1954, President Eisenhower signed a bill passed by Congress that added the words “Under God” to the pledge. There have been many challenges to the pledge over the years because of the use of the words Under God but so far it has managed to survive these assaults because individuals were permitted to opt out of saying the pledge. While the pledge has survived it is not without its exceptions and exemptions.
Many of us remember when prayer was an important part of how we started our school day and has been an important part of our American heritage since its inception, yet prayer in our public schools has struggled to survive as well. It was in 1962 when the Supreme Court ruled that state-sponsored prayer in public schools was unconstitutional and put an end to prayer as something students participated in on a daily basis.
While it continued to allow private prayer, this ruling was quite effective in taking God out of our public education system. The left quietly cheered this Supreme Court Ruling which was an important goal of leftist educators. Our rich Judeo-Christian heritage in our schools was banished and was a very important step in changing the course of the way our children act and think.
In this Sunday’s church service, our pastor was relating a story of his trip to Washington State near the Canadian border to marry a couple he had known for years. During his conversation with the bride, who was a U.S. citizen she talked about her husband a Canadian citizen and how when they attended church in Canada Government agents would be seated amongst the congregation listening to the service to make note of the content of the sermons and report back to the government. Does this sound like a recent Fox News report on Feb. 9th of this year that stated, “An intelligence analyst within the Richmond Field Office of the FBI released in a new finished intelligence product dated January 23, 2023, on Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists (RMVE) and their interests in ‘Radical-Traditionalist Catholics’ or RTCs.” https://www.foxnews.com/media/purported-fbi-document-suggests-agency-targeting-catholics-attend-latin-mass: Was this just another case of the FBI’s misplaced priorities?
If we look at the statistics the decline in religion has taken a precipitous drop in the last 60 years and the experts will offer all types of explanations for the drop. Or was this simply a coincidence that coincided with the banning of school prayer as a subversive way to curtail religious growth? To be sure we will not find consensus on this, but we offer that when children are not exposed to something on a regular basis, they tend to lose interest and by some form of osmosis so do their parents.
America is certainly at a turning point and conservatives should be thankful for President Trump’s appointments to the Supreme Court. As NPR states in a July 2022 article “The Supreme Court is the most conservative in 90 years.” Trumps appointment of justices Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch Getty have changed the court for what could be decades. This feat alone should be a reason for conservatives and independents to consider this man for the highest office in our country in 2024. If you don’t think Trumps choices for SCOTUS were the biggest thorn in the side of the liberal democrats, you are sadly mistaken because this is where the legal buck stops. Aside from the SCOTUS appointments in four short years he also nominated and got confirmed 234 Article III judgeships, 54 judges for the United States courts of appeals and 174 judges for the United States district courts. Even Obama only appointed 55 judges for the U.S. courts of appeals in 8 years of office.
While the many changes in our judiciary have been important, they don’t come close to fixing the problem with the “DEEP STATE’ that has been consuming us daily with its onerous regulations in the name of climate change and any other excuse they can drum up. The Deep State in Washington is far more powerful than most can imagine. If you think for a minute that Biden is finished destroying our country both economically and morally you are very much mistaken. Even with the prospect of him being impeached for bribery this man has no shame nor will he yield to pressure from congress. He is emboldened and backed up by the legacy press who continue to push their leftist propaganda on the public both in print on the air waves and on social media. The deep state is still in total control of our country and if you think for a minute that the Rino’s in the Senate or the House are going to allow anyone to take their piggy bank away you are wrong. Many of our republican representatives are no better than the democrats as they don’t want to lose their cushy positions or the power that goes with them.
Trump’s pledge to disassemble the Deep State is why we are seeing the polls favoring by large margins as the Biden DOJ is weaponized to make sure Trump doesn’t run in the 24 elections. They are so afraid of this man that they are trying to destroy his popularity with these lawsuits, so his supporters will leave him. Unfortunately, for Joe Biden and company, I believe that Americans have woken up to the legacy media propaganda and the lies being told by the Biden crime syndicate. The silent majority is rising up to return some sanity to our country and its political system. People are tired of having a repressive government bought and paid for by the corporate elitists who care nothing about the average American. Just think about 2008 and the great recession when the working public bailed out America’s entire financial industry with over 800 billion of our tax dollars and how do they repay us? They cheer a liberal president on as he wastes trillions of our tax dollars on his climate change projects and they pay homage to his efforts pushing for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Biden and the left’s fantasy of electric cars, solar energy, and wind turbines are just that a fantasy that will never come to fruition in most of our lifetimes. These projects that are supposed to be sustainable do nothing but create limited energy and consume huge amounts of precious resources that will never be recovered. But the Deep State continues to move forward with these projects causing more and more disruption and dislocation in our lives with their edicts on everything from gas stoves to electric vehicles.
This is why we need four more years of Trump as none of the other candidates have the drive, ability, courage, or knowledge to turn our country around. We had four years of economic prosperity under Trump and there isn’t another candidate in the running who can hold a candle to what this man did for our country under the most difficult circumstances. For four years he battled the left that relentlessly pelted him with false accusations that he had colluded with Russia only to find out that all their claims were totally false and were promoted by our own law enforcement agencies. They tried to impeach him twice unsuccessfully and now they are throwing everything at him but the kitchen sink to keep him from running in the 2024 election. You may not like the way he speaks or some of the things he says but you have to admit he certainly got results like no other president since Ronald Regan.
President Biden is not only incapable of running our country but is a liability who is unable to find his way off of a stage after a speaking engagement. Can you imagine if we were ever under attack by a foreign entity and we had to rely on him to make a split-second decision on how to proceed. This is certainly a scary perverted world we live in today where good is bad and bad is good. Had the public known before the 2020 election of Hunter Bidens Computer and what was on it I doubt there is any way that Sleepy Joe would have won the last election. In fact, there are many of us who still believe that the last election was rigged but I doubt we will ever learn the truth. Our country is at a critical turning point and my only hope at 78 years of age is to have faith that God is in control and that evil will not prevail. We should all keep praying but Remember “We Get the Government We Deserve.”
