The Rule of Law

Today, the Supreme Court ruled on the ability of District Courts to issue sweeping national injunctions. This ruling is a major victory for the Trump administration, which has been battling with rogue district judges who have been issuing nationwide injunctions on his executive orders. At the heart of this 6-3 ruling is how it will be applied to birthright citizenship.

Of course, the three liberal justices who dissented on this were Sonia Sotomayor, Elana Kagan, and, of course, the justice who couldn’t describe what a woman is, Ketanji Brown. This ruling will finally put an end to activist federal district judges abusing their authority to dictate the executive powers of a president. It should be no surprise to anyone that 35 of the 40 injunctions filed came from California, Massachusetts, Washington, and the District of Columbia, all bastions of liberal thought.

This ruling will give the president the ability to proceed with ending sanctuary city funding, stopping taxpayer funding of transgender surgeries, suspending refugee resettlement and finally giving ICE the ability to deport criminal illegals to countries that are not of their origin. This ruling will also free Trump to ban transgender persons serving in the U.S. military but more important the halt of Elon Musk’s DOGE group is over and they will be able to proceed with their investigations of corruption and stop billions of our tax dollars from going to (USAID) and other NGOs that are feeding the lefts resistance.

While the Supreme Court did not rule on birthright citizenship, they did say they would take up this issue later in the year. Trump’s executive order disagrees with the current understanding that recognizes birthright citizenship if a child is born in the U.S., and it all has to do with the interpretation of the 14th Amendment. Under Trump’s interpretation, it should be U.S. policy to not recognize citizenship for newborns if the child’s mother or father were not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents at the child’s birth.

The liberal news channels are blowing up with criticism of SOCTUS with the president’s win. They all appeared to be greatly saddened that the universal injunctions issued by Federal District judges will no longer be the default remedy when it comes to challenging executive action. On top of this big SOCTUS win, the Senate rejected a bid to curb Trump’s Iran War Powers.

In another ruling, they gave back control to parents on what their children are exposed to in schools that are pushing LGBTQ curriculum. This was indeed a great day for conservative Americans and along with all of these great wins legally Trump announced that he has made a deal with the Congo to mine and purchase rare earth minerals while telling Canada that the U.S. is ending all trade discussions in response to Canada’s move to implement a digital services tax on technology companies. We finally have a president who will stand up for America, and he is proving it every day. In the words of President Trump, “You’re going to get tired of Winning”.

“We Get the Government We Deserve”.

Prime Day 2025

One reply on “The Rule of Law”

The decision to rein in the nationwide injunctions was long overdue. Now it needs to be followed up with Congressional law limiting the power of the Federal Executive. We should not have a President of either party issuing dozens of executive orders. The reason it exists hearkens back to Woodrow Wilson’s “imperial executive” notion of the nineteen teens. And Congress has in large measure abdicated their role by creating the endless bureaucracy.

The dissents were all very clearly partisan. Elena Kagan appeared on daytime TV during the Obama years objecting to Republicans judges issuing the injunctions that Democrats have taken to absurdity and beyond. Her dissent smacks of “for me but not for thee” elitism. Sotomayor isn’t qualified to sit on the Court and her views are almost nothing but political rhetoric. Ketanji Jackson-Brown has already flown her true colors by refusing to admit she is even a woman – and the rest of the court has gotten so fed up with her that she was called out in a ruling for her lack of any attempt at judicial scholarship.

The docket for SCOTUS is closed for this round, but in most cases -including some unanimous decisions- the rule of Constitutional law was re-imposed. There is still more work to be done to restore our nation-such as the birthright citizenship notion decided in Kim Wong Ark. let’s hope that one comes up next season and we can once again restore sanity to our immigration laws.
