A long time Jerome resident with 43 years’ experience in and supporting agriculture, Terry Edwards has announced his candidacy for Idaho State Senate District 25. The Edwards’ have raised their family here in the Magic Valley, they have 3 boys and four grandchildren, soon to be five they all still reside in Idaho. Terry enlisted in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era following high school.
Terry’s fascination with farming began in his teens. Terry would spend summers in Saratoga N.Y. on his uncle’s Holstein dairy farm.
On returning to civilian life, Terry decided to pursue his desire for agriculture and graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Science in Soil Science/Agronomy. This is where he met his wife Julie of 43 years. Since then Terry has worked in a number agricultural related professions including farming. Terry fully understands the burden Government places on business owners especially farmers and has experienced that first hand.
Terry is a Constitutional Conservative Patriot seeking to reduce governmental over-reach and its intrusion into all areas of our life here in Idaho.
Terry believes in and will support limited government, personal property and privacy rights, Idaho control for Idaho land and water, government transparency at all levels, parental rights including medical decision making, educational decision making including school vouchers, home education options.
Terry believes in and will support “The Right to Life”, Idaho Laws for Idaho, the 2nd Amendment.
Terry does not believe in “Common Core” or that Idaho Public Schools are providing the best education for our children.
Terry does not believe District 25 legislators are living up to their “Oath of Office” in representing the Conservative, freedom loving folks in their district or the State of Idaho.
