Raul Labrador: Finally, an Attorney General we can Trust

Those who had an opportunity to listen to our new Attorney General Raul Labrador this past week either in person or on Idaho Freedom TV should have been impressed with the speech he made on Capital Clarity. You can hear his speech here:

It has been 20 years since the people of Idaho have had an AG who will actually to the job of protecting the citizens of Idaho instead of the Corporate Elitist and Establishment Bureaucrats. This is what the establishment was afraid of and why 50 prominent Republicans stood up and supported democrat candidate Tom Arkoosh for Attorney General before this last election. They are getting a taste of their own medicine as Raul Labrador takes charge after winning the election by a substantial margin garnering 62.6% of the vote. Labrador is a true conservative and was a co-founder of the congressional Republican Freedom Caucus while serving as Idaho’s congressman in the first district for three terms. For a change Idaho voters got it right by electing this man to be our attorney general for the next four years.

AG Labrador is already engaged in protecting the rights of Idahoans and is being actively attacked by the liberal media. The fact that he is being attacked so consistently tells us that he is over the target and taking flak from the enemy. As he said in his speech there is a new sheriff in town who will stop serving the bureaucracy and start serving the people of Idaho unlike former AG Wasden who was only interested in protecting Idaho’s bureaucratic swamp. Raul assured the audience that he will make to see that Idaho’s governmental agencies follow the law and there will be no more passing the buck as they did when Wasden was in office.

Labrador made note that for the past few years there has been a lock on the front door of the AG’s office. He said that the lock is still there to make sure that his staff are safe, however; unlike the former AG that lock was never opened in order to restrict access. Raul has told his staff that as long as they feel safe, they should allow people to enter the office and be more approachable and reachable. He is going to work for the people and not the bureaucracy.

As a true conservative, he and his office are under constant attack by the liberal media both nationally and locally. Labrador recently filed a lawsuit to stop Waters of the U.S.A. on behalf of the people of Idaho. Idaho joined Texas in this lawsuit to stop the EPA and the Biden administration from recent changes in Waters of the U.S.A. and have received an injunction to stop this egregious incursion into our states’ rights. As usual, the liberal press and of course our liberal congressman Simpson are complaining that AG Labrador is not taking this issue seriously. Raul’s decision to join Texas in this lawsuit was a smart move for our state as a decision was issued by the federal court in Texas freezing the WOTUS rule for Texas and Idaho. While Labrador was criticized heavily by the press and the administration, he made the right decision for the citizens of Idaho. What we find interesting is that while the national press is talking about this water rule, virtually nothing has been said by the Idaho press or liberal media except for a blurb on KTVB’s website. This only proves our point about how biased Idaho’s media is as neither the Idaho Statesman nor the Idaho Press printed a word about this important court decision.

We need to give credit where credit is due as Raul has surrounded himself with intelligent strategic thinking attorneys who know how to do their job. We finally have a law firm that will represent the people of Idaho and not the special interests who have controlled this office for the past 20 years. We now have an office of solicitor of the Attorney General for the first time in 30 years. This is the office that will handle lawsuits like WOTUS that was filed in coordination with Texas. This office is currently looking at the Fairness in Women’s sports act not only in Idaho but in other states with similar legislation. They have engaged in a 2nd amendment fight with West Virginia where the ATF is challenging arm braces. They are also participating with Texas where the Dept. of Homeland Security have a parole complaint on an immigration lawsuit. Along with many other states we have sued TIK TOK and have joined 2 or 3 religious freedom cases where they are going after photographers or other people who are trying to lift their values and religious liberty where the government is coming after them. They have joined a multi-state letter regarding the distribution of abortion pills by pharmacies which they believe violates FDA regulations and signed onto a letter of objection to Bidens Assault Weapons Ban. This is truly a great change from the 20 years we endured under former AG Wasden.

Labrador knows that he and his office are going to be attacked on a continuous basis by the left and has a message for all conservatives. We need to get our act together and understand that if we have a conservative Attorney General you can’t be joining the chorus of attacks when you may disagree with a thing or two that his office might engage in. What makes Labrador a good AG, congressman, and legislator is that sometimes there will be disagreements but his office is always going to try and work for the benefit of the people of Idaho. Unlike what you see in the legislature where the establishment always sticks together to reach their goal while the conservatives always seem to stray off course and lose their battles. If they were to stick together like the establishment, we would be able to stop much of the bad legislation that is being passed like the recent HB24 bill giving students $8,500 of our tax dollars to be distributed by Governor Little’s crony Workforce committee. Labrador stated we need to have a freedom caucus here in the Idaho legislature where if 80% of the group agree then everyone will work together to obtain that goal instead of attacking each other if there is disagreement. Conservatives need to follow establishment rules and work together then we might win some important legislative battles.

Raul’s speech sounded much like a real leader who may take another shot at running for Governor in the next election as we certainly don’t want to see someone like Lt. Governor Scott Bedke running our state.

“We Get the Government We Deserve” For a change, we have a real conservative watching our backs and we wish Attorney General Labrador smooth sailing for the next four years in Idaho’s turbulent political waters.
