Liberal Media more Dangerous than the Coronavirus

Use common sense and don’t believe everything you hear

The hysteria being brought about by the liberal media is nothing short being an enemy of the people and trying to destroy our country by causing a panic. They have pulled out all the stops in an effort to make our president look like someone totally unprepared to handle this problem. In reality, Trump has done a magnificent job of putting this problem in its proper perspective as a medical emergency bringing in experts in the field of medicine and delegating Mike Pence as the chief administrator. The President has made all of the right decisions so far to keep Americans safe even though there has been a shortage of test kits for the virus. Democrats have been quick to criticize the president at every opportunity because testing has taken so long but he has enlisted the help of corporate America to solve this problem.

The most recent crisis that even compares to the Coronavirus was the H1N1 swine flu emergency during Obama’s first 2 years in office. CDC estimates the Swine flu between 4/12/2009 and 4/10/2010 was contracted by 43 to 89 million, hospitalization of 195 to 400 thousand and between 8,800 and 18,000 deaths. Additionally, CDC estimated that 151,700-575,400 people worldwide died from (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection during the first year the virus circulated. Eighty percent of those deaths related to the virus were in people under 65 years of age. In a normal flu season, 70 to 90 percent of those who contract the flu and die are 65 years or older.

While it is anyone’s guess on what percentage of people will die from the Covid 19 virus we can get an idea of its effect. Estimates of pandemic influenza mortality ranged from 0.03 percent of the world’s population during the 1968 H3N2 pandemic to between 1% and 3% of the world’s population during the 1918 H1N1 pandemic. It is estimated that 0.001 percent to 0.007 percent of the world’s population died of respiratory complications associated with (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection during the first 12 months the virus circulated. Until more testing is done it is difficult for anyone to give us an estimate of how fatal Covid 19 is but we know it is most dangerous to those who are 65 and older with medical problems.

The liberal media will continue to engage in scare tactics in order to create panic in the general public and we can see that they have so far done a good job just by looking at the empty shelves in grocery stores. While most people don’t have more than a few days of food on hand it is certainly prudent for them to have enough available for the quarantine period of 14 days. What people have to remember is that buying all of the available toilet paper or canned tuna that would last them for months is only hurting their friends and neighbors who will find the shelves empty. We are not sure why there is such a run on water because there is no reason to think that your water is going to be turned off at your home any time soon.

This coronavirus is said to have been spreading among people in Wuhan China as early as November of last year which means that it could have been circulating in the U.S. as early as December 2019 and January of this year and we are just seeing these cases spring up around the country by those infected much earlier. We can expect that no state will be spared as this virus continues to be spread by people who are carriers but are unaware they have the virus. Even when the tests are available there will only be about 400 thousand available in the first weeks of testing. Keep in mind there are 330 million people in the United States so to get too even 10% of the country’s population it could take months.

There are many in the medical field who believe this virus will act as many of the previous ones and subside as the weather gets warmer in May and will return in the fall so there may be a short reprieve during the summer. This lull will give the pharmaceutical companies an opportunity to continue to develop a vaccine and start testing and it will give people an opportunity to make sure they have enough supplies over the summer months so as not to cause shortages in local grocery stores.

While this will be a difficult time for many families dealing with layoffs and closed schools it will also give families an opportunity to spend more time together which is something that we believe is sorely needed in our country. It’s a time for families and friends to come together, help each other and be good neighbors. Try to stay away from any of the liberal media known to be panic mongers as they will offer no solace to anyone and will continue to promote anger and frustration along with false narratives as to what is real and what is not.

President Trump and his administration are doing everything they can to help those in need and get us through these difficult times. You can be sure that the dirty democrats along with their media muppets will continue to propagate more lies and innuendo that will reflect badly on what Trump is doing as we are in an election year. We suggest that you spend some time reading a good book or playing some family games but by all means remain calm because this too shall pass as all the other pandemics did.

Remember it is the simple things that will be most effective in preventing you from getting this flu bug.

  1. Wash your hands often with soapy water.
  2. Stay away from crowded places.
  3. Stay away from people who are coughing, sneezing or are known to be sick.
  4. No hand shaking or hugging, even in church. Greet friends with a fist or elbow bump.
  5. Eat healthy to say healthy
  6. If you think you are infected get tested and if results are positive quarantine yourself.
  7. Those over 65 should keep to themselves and have family or friends not infected shop for them.
