I have just a few words about the recent primary election: While I was impressed by Mark Fitzgerald running for governor taking almost 29% of the vote, I never thought that he had a chance of dethroning King Little and the RINO Machine. The fact that Mark did so well tells me that Idahoans are beginning to wake up to the fact that we need a change in our state. Although Mr. Fitzgerald was not the change we needed, he has raised the awareness of the voters that Idaho has been run by the Big Corporate and Agricultural cartels for over 20 years, who have done nothing to improve the lives of Idahoans, as our state budget has doubled in the past seven years.
Idaho’s Constitutional Puppets: Both Governor Little and Lt. Governor Bedke have been nothing more than puppets for IACI’s Corporate and Idaho’s Agricultural Cartels, doing their bidding regardless of whether it helps Idaho families or not. Even many of our legislators have been influenced by the big-money cartels’ contributions via Political PACs to get them elected year after year. The cost of running for office has grown by such proportions that it has inhibited many potential candidates from seeking office.
Attacks on Conservatives: This primary election was disturbing in many ways, as we saw conservative legislators like Senator Glenneda Zuiderveld lose to a candidate who was handpicked and supported by these powerful cartels. It even became a personal battle for Glenneda and her family, as the Ag cartel attacked the family business, which serves the agricultural sector. Nothing is sacred for these big-money RINOs, even the livelihood of a candidate’s family. For them, it is all scorched earth: if you don’t go along with what they want, they will come after you with all their money and influence and beat you into submission. Just look at Senator Guthrie, District 28, who wants drivers’ licenses for illegals and kept three immigration bills from being voted on, so these cartels can continue to hire illegals at lower wages than Idahoans.
The Ag and Corporate Cartels Don’t Want to Deport Illegals: We saw a perfect example of how these cartels coalesce and protect their legislative allies, to the point where we saw five of our constitutional officers come together to support Senator Jim Guthrie of District 28. Many conservative voters were shocked at this move by our Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, State Controller, and Superintendent of Education, who openly supported Guthrie’s reelection. This is a man who has tried several times to get drivers’ licenses for illegal immigrants, a legislator and committee chairman who hid three immigration bills in his desk drawer so they could not be voted on by the full Senate. Senator Guthrie has shown Idahoans and his constituents that illegals are more important to him than the people he serves in Idaho’s Senate.
A Wake-Up Call for Idaho: This should have been a wake-up call for all Idahoans. Idaho spends $400 million a year of our tax dollars educating illegal alien children who attend our public schools. Through Medicaid, we pay for their medical care so that big corporations can hire them at low wages but don’t have to bear the burden of healthcare insurance. We also pay for feeding these illegals, who work for the Agricultural and Big Corporate Cartels, through the government-sponsored SNAP Program. Most Idahoans are not aware that we have tens of thousands of illegals in our state who are supported by their tax dollars and cause wages to be suppressed.
Repeal the Tax on Groceries: Our governor and RINO legislators simply ignore the fact that Idahoans are still paying the highest tax on groceries of the eight states that still have a grocery tax. Many Idahoans ask the question: why do we still have a grocery tax? Well, the answer is simple, and it starts back in 2017 when Brad Little, who was Lt. Governor, decided to run for Governor and used the grocery tax in his campaign, telling Idahoans that if elected he would eliminate this egregious tax, as then-Governor Otter had vetoed a bill passed by the House and Senate to eliminate the tax. Brad Little said time and again in his campaign that eliminating the tax was the right thing to do. Well, folks, Brad lied to the people he has been serving now for eight years, and it is Idahoans on the bottom of the economic ladder who are paying the price for his lie every day when they go to buy groceries for their families. Now, with the advent of Idaho’s recent election, taxpayers have given Brad Little the OK to continue to fleece the taxpayers and do nothing to reduce the tax burden they have to pay to feed their families.
Idaho’s Budget Continues to Grow: We also continue to watch Idaho’s budget grow once again this year by $350 million, while developers still don’t pay their fair share for necessary infrastructure costs as they continue to build homes that most Idahoans can’t even afford to purchase. Our education system still ranks in the lowest third of those in our country. Idaho came in at 45th in the U.S. when ranked by World Population Review, yet when our legislature decided to offer School Choice, they limited the number of students to 10,000, or about $50 million dollars’ worth. Yet our government officials allow big corporations to sit on the board of the Launch Program, financed by $70 million of your tax dollars, and decide what courses will be taught so they don’t have to pay to train their workforce. Then there are the big $50 million tax breaks given to corporations building new AI data centers, who will suck up our water resources and increase the cost of our electric power bills. Meanwhile, our infrastructure continues to be inadequate and more congested with no relief in sight as developers don’t pay their fair share.
Follow the Money: Our Governor also boasted about the $4.6 billion in cumulative tax cuts he gave us, calling Idaho the national leader in tax relief per capita. Truth be known, the Idaho Center for Fiscal Policy found that the top 20 percent of households received 66% of the income tax cuts, and the top 1% averaged a $20,407 cut, while families in the median income group received $453.00, and the grocery tax credit rose only $55 over seven years for those families who pay the largest share of this tax. When will Idahoans learn how they are being screwed by our government officials as they waste our tax dollars on 189 government agencies? When will we say enough is enough? Currently, Idaho receives 40% of our state budget from the federal government. The big question is: what happens when the Feds stop supporting our state?
“We Get the Government We Deserve.”
