According to a recent survey by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, only 51% of all faith voters are likely to vote in November. According to this article, entitled Apathy Among Christian Voters Could Be ‘Gamechanger’ in 2024 Election, a full 104 million faith voters are unlikely to vote in this election.
“The research shows that this election season is marked by a significant drop in voter enthusiasm, particularly among Christian voters who have historically been key players in determining the outcome of presidential races.”
The research pinpointed several reasons why Christians are stepping away from the voting booth:
68% lack interest in politics and elections
57% dislike all major candidates
55% feel none of the candidates reflect their most important views
52% believe their vote will not make a difference
48% think the election results will be manipulated
Dr. George Barna led the research. He states:
“Teaching people to live a culturally engaged life based on biblical principles is…. equipping believers to influence their culture in a way that honors God. That includes voting for the next president, as well as determining who will hold many other federal, state, and local offices.”
Should we as Christians feel compelled to vote? As a Christian and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I believe we will be held accountable before God for what we DO to preserve our liberty and “free agency.” Our scripture describes times when the people upheld righteous governmental principles and leaders, and other times when they were “slothful” and supported corrupt leaders and evil gangs. Their civilization was destroyed because they turned away from God, eschewed righteous leaders/prophets and were eventually destroyed.
Each election cycle we receive counsel “to be active citizens by registering, exercising [our] right to vote, and engage[e] in civic affairs.” These are good recommendations for people of all faiths.
In addition, former Utah Supreme Court justice and church leader Dallin H. Oaks has stated:
“We should learn and advocate the inspired principles of the Constitution. We should seek out and support wise and good persons who will support those principles in their public actions. We should be knowledgeable citizens who are active in making our influence felt in civic affairs.”
Finally, in the Bible, we find:
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. (Proverbs 29:2)
It is vital that we as Christians get informed and engaged in preserving our rights and liberties.
And VOTE!
Remember, the only thing necessary for evil to triumph in the world is that good men do nothing.

And then there’s the 1% who understanding that there is absolutely no biblical justification for unbiblically voting for a biblically unqualified candidate into an unbiblical position of civil “leadership” who, if elected, will swear to uphold the biblically seditious Constitution as the law of the land.
They, furthermore, are able to look back on the last 230-plus years of constitutional elections and see that with each and every election America’s only advanced further along on their suicidal trek to the precipice of moral depravity and destruction, regardless which species of Swamp Crocodile (disguised as Donkeys and Elephants) has been elected.
One of the dumbest things the constitutional framers did was to usurp the Bible’s one-God, one-vote election system (per Deuteronomy 17:15, etc.), thereby turning election “discretion” over to We the People the majority of whom, according to Christ in Matthew 7:13, are in the broad way leading to *destruction.* Gee, what could go wrong?
Add to that Article 6’s Christian test ban by which mandatory biblical qualifications (such as, Exodus 18:21) were eliminated and you have the perfect recipe disaster.
