When did it Start?: I was only 11 years old in 1956 when Russia’s Communist leader Nikita Khrushchev said, “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within.”
In 1984, a Russian KGB defector Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov described what modern America would be like and talked about the 4 phases of mass brainwashing that would be used to take over our country. There is a long term plan by Russia to defeat America through psychological warfare and “demoralization”. Ideological subversion happens in the open as a legitimate process. This is a great brainwashing which has four stages. Demoralization takes 15 to 20 years or the time it takes to re-educate one generation of students changing the way people are thinking. Bezmenov used the example of 1960s hippies coming to positions of power in the 80s in the government and businesses of America. He believed that by 1984 the demoralization process was already completed. The Russians believed that a person who has been demoralized is unable to assess true information. The second stage of ideological brain washing is destabilization which amounts to a two to five year period targeting the essential structural elements of our nation such as our economy foreign relations and defense systems. The third stage is a crisis taking only six weeks which would bring a violent stage of power structure and economy followed by the last stage Normalization when our country is taken over living under a new ideology and reality. At this point most of our freedoms would disappear. (1)
Looking Back: As a child, some 70 years ago, most family units had two parents and most attended church on a regular basis plus we had many extracurricular activities both at our church and at our schools. There was community support for Police Athletic Leagues, Little Leagues, YMCA the boy scouts and girl scouts there was a lot to do. We were taught both in school and at church right from wrong and God was always being brought into our lives both at home and at school. Seventy-three percent of the population were members of a church or attended and belonged to a religious organization in 1937. Today we have less than 47% of the population who are associated with a religious group. In the past two decades, the percentage of Americans who do not identify with any religion has grown from 8% in 2000 to 21% over the past three years. We have been removing God from our educational institutions for decades so where are the children supposed to gain the moral and ethical values that are needed to participate in a normal life? We would hope from their parents but they are so busy trying to earn a living they do not have time provide the support necessary to obtain these values. Our public education system has been in a transition since the 1960s and as more women entered the workforce they had less time to spend with their children and often had to put them into daycare centers. Unfortunately, this left it up to the caretakers and teachers to be the ones responsible for what values, ethics and morals these children would eventually carry with them for a life time. As each decade passed and both parents were forced to work to maintain a reasonable standard of living our public schools became the caretakers and the teachers eventually replaced the parents as mentors and role models. I believe this eventually led to many of the problems we have today with our youth in America as there has been a brainwashing going on from our public education system and through our Institutions of higher learning.
What about Technology: This problem has been compounded by the technology that is now available to the children as young as 5 years old. Kids today have instantons communications with just about anything they want to get information on including drugs. The derogation of our children has been a process that has taken place over the past 70 years and much of it is because we as baby boomers and parents have allowed it to happen because we were too busy earning a living and trying to make a better life for the family. The nuclear family has slowly broken down to the point where church is now something many of us only attend on Easter and Christmas and teachers in our public schools have become the surrogate parents along with daycare centers. We can link ethical and moral behavior with the movement away from religious values along with taking God out of our schools which has quite instrumental in creating the problems we are currently dealing with.
Subversive forces: Have been chipping away at American culture for decades and I think that people are just beginning to wake up and seeing what has been happing to our country in terms of our ethical and moral values. Many of these problems started in the mid-50s through the 70s during and after the Vietnam War. This was the beginning of the demise of the nuclear family with many women entering the work force. The Baby Boomer generation was a force to be reckoned with as we saw many of them move to the left during the 60s and 70s as they did not want this war and were willing to openly protest it. During the 1950s there was almost a third great awakening for religion which did not last long as in the 60s religious institutions began being questioned. The resulting decline in religion stopped by the end of the seventies and leveled off for 15 years. In the last decade religion has taken an even steeper decline than the 60s and 70s as fewer Americans attended church and religion became less important in their lives. It was also in the 60s and 70s that we saw many of our higher learning institutions became hubs for student demonstrations as they took to the streets protesting the Vietnam War. This was the beginning of the great society movement and the beginning of student discourse. We called it the decade of the hippies with LSD and marijuana the drugs of choice. President Johnson brought in the Great Society and began the huge welfare programs that were supposed to solve our poverty problem and did nothing but waste 22 trillion of taxpayer money with no change in the poverty rate in almost 60 years. The cost of the war and its mismanagement ushered in the end of the gold standard and up went inflation to heights we never thought possible.
Public Education: The government took control of our schools began to take God out of our children’s education and there was a definite decline in moral and ethical values as LBGTQ began to become mainstream in the 80s and 90s even though to this day the percentage of transgender people in this country is only six percent yet we pander and cater to this small group of Americans as if they were a much larger portion of our population. Liberal professors just about took over our colleges and universities in the 80s and 90s and we now have a large group of college-educated adults who have given up on religion totally and are now championing causes like transgender, homosexuality, wokeness, and climate change.
Finally: The turn of the century has brought us even less families attending church, while no child left behind brought more government rules into our schools along with a technology wave that has changed all of our lives forever, especially for our children. Technology has been good in many ways but we still don’t know how to control it. Just look at how social media has been used to change the way we think and act. As much as we know about that media giants like Facebook, Google, and Twitter and how they control what we can say on their platforms we still use them when we should be turning them off. We are entering into a great unknown right now with what is happening in our country and in our world as we look at the possibility of things like The Great Reset. We have a President who has taken our country and turned it upside down and whose policies I believe have the potential to destroy America. His policies on immigration alone are going to bankrupt our social programs like Medicare and Medicaid and cause them to go bankrupt in 10 to 15 years. Religion is at a new low with 47% of Americans attending church and Woke no longer means the time you got up this morning. I don’t know where we are going but if Americans don’t wake up soon, we may one day find ourselves in a real 1984 where everyone is watched 24/7 and the freedoms we once knew are gone forever.

Good article, but after all that you still don’t explain the ten elements of communism and how they are implemented, for the most part, by this thing that we call government.
Government is organized crime that robs the people under the guise of taxes. Government further robs the people with a legalized counterfeit money operation. They further rob the people of their ability to think via brainwashing in the government schools and government run propaganda/ presses.
It is not government, but rather it is organized crime that controls everything. Criminals cannot represent government!
Good article with a historical perspective from someone who has lived it. Another piece not mentioned, the younger generations have been successfully indoctrinationed into believing older folks hold no value in knowledge and dismiss anything they have to say. The unwillingness of them to listen to this valuable insight and knowledge will only add to their, and our country’s demise. It will only be when they finally do have their freedom and choice forever removed. By then it will be too late.
