Finally, Idaho has an Attorney General who actually stands up for the rights of the people he serves. We have published several articles about the dangers and hazards of the Lava Ridge wind farm project and finally Idaho’s AG Raul Labrador has taken a stand on this issue. In a letter to Kasey Prestwich at the BLM Shoshone Field Office Labrador expressed his comment in opposition to Magic Valley Energy, LLC’s (“MVE”) Lava Ridge Wind Project and the agency’s preferred alternatives. In an eight-page letter to the BLM, AG Labrador expressed his serious concerns about this massive wind farm project and why it is problematic for our state. His conclusion was as follows.
MVE’s Project cannot be justified under the law. It represents a disregard for the environment and other vital interests entrusted to the agency’s safekeeping. The Project cannot be squared with Congress’s mandate in the FLPMA that the agency must manage all public lands to “protect the quality of scientific, scenic, historical, ecological, environmental, air and atmospheric, water resource, and archaeological values”. 43 U.S.C. 1701(8). The agency’s Draft EIS fails to take a hard look at the numerous sweeping environmental impacts the Project will cause. Ctr. For Biological Diversity v. Dept. of Interior, 623F.3d at 641 (9th Cir. 2010). It also fails to account for numerous other relevant interests. And the project would significantly intrude on Idaho’s residual and “inviolable” sovereignty, disrupting the critical federal-state balance that underlies our constitutional system of “dual sovereignty.” Printz, 528 U.S. at 918-19. On the other side of the balance sheet, only one private company will profit.
It’s no surprise that the agency’s failure here has catalyzed Idahoans from across the political spectrum to unite in opposition to the Project. The agency should listen to these voices and reject MVE’s attempt to capitalize personally at the expense of the public. The harms are overwhelming and are too great to ignore.

We at the Gem State Patriot applaud AG Labrador for taking a stand with the people of Idaho to reject this proposed project as it is of no real benefit to our state and would do great harm to our environment. It is clear to us that Labrador has shown genuine leadership and was the right choice for Idaho’s Attorney General. We look forward to many more years of public service from this Idaho’s former congressman and wish him well in all his future endeavors.
Thank you, Raul Labrador, for your continued service to the people of Idaho.

Thank you to Attorney General Labrador for taking up the fight for Idaho’s sovereignty in this fight. Now where do our Federal Senators and Representatives stand on this issue? Protect this endangered part of our state!
Raul Labrador for ‘common sense’ advocate of the century. i was told Little was paid to allow ‘Eagle killing’ wind mills to come into the state.Behind atree stump i also heard that Emperor Little Likes Bud lite also for its fruity flavor
Raul is the hope for true conservatives in Idaho. He is Idaho’s Ron DeSantis X 3. Common sense + Naturla Law Christian Principles= Hope for Idaho and America. The beginning of a New Great awakening?
Thank God for Raul Labrador!!!!!!!!!
Idaho is very fortunate to have Raul Labrador as Attorney General. I pray that he will stay in this position for more than one term. It will take quite a bit of work to undo all of the harm done by the prior office-holder. I feel so confident that we have someone looking out for the Constitution, Law and the “People’s Rights.”

What’s the payback time for those windmills?
Thank you to Attorney General Labrador.
And people still refuse to acknowledge the global agenda of 2030 toward the great reset. It might be nice to not only think him but to educate him as well which is what we should be doing with all people once they are elected not just let them free and hope they make good decisions. I won’t be a man on an island for long.
Thank You, Raul Labrador. What a true Idaho leader. We will continue praying for you and others as you display faith in our great Gem State. Perhaps some of our ‘Little Minions’ will get on the right path, and choose to respect our Constitution and our People”s Rights.
Thank You AG Labrador.
Thank you Lord for Raul, a conservative who actually does something helpful!
Thank you, AG Raul Labrador, you did not let us down on this important task. Please continue to not only push back but move forward to stop those who want to destroy our freedom and will continually try to control all of us and all of USA. We are praying for you; God is never surprised and is definitely on your side and His people. Thank you, again.
Very good choice! I hope AG Labrador would also look in to two other important issues! 1. Why does idaho need 8500 new 5G towers 2. Why are we allowing “Tax Free” St. Luke’s & a run amuck dist. judge to foment a new ruby ridge style false flag on Idaho Soil over a questionable Civil Suit. Perhaps a few words of wisdom to the govenors proxies might re-establish the Peace we all deserve!
