This election is reminiscent of 1981, when Reagan inherited Jimmy Carter\u2019s inflation. In 1983 the economy got better, and Reagan was reelected in 1984. What is surprising are the reasons that young male Americans and Latinos switched parties, which caused the Republicans to lose the House and the Senate. Let\u2019s face it, folks: in today\u2019s world, Americans date politicians; they don\u2019t marry them. The flow of information has reached a point that, in many cases, it has an instantaneous effect on anyone who is connected. We need to recognize that we live in a world of soundbites. It has been my opinion for a long time that we are being swayed by the liberal media\u2019s propaganda at a level similar to that of Joseph Goebbels in Germany before and during WWII. Messaging today is almost more important than the reality of what is happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let me explain what I mean:<\/strong> Truth be told, Trump has done more to help the average American than any other president since Ronald Reagan, but no one was selling that message to the electorate. The Trump boom has already started if you just look at the huge increase in jobs numbers for the last couple of months. Yes, he got credit for stopping the illegal invasion and reducing crime, but it was inflation that was the killer, with high prices for food, housing and fuel. While he inherited a 21% inflation rate from Biden, it was the additional 7% during his current two years in office that was the straw that broke the Republican majority. Much of the increase in the cost of living can be squarely blamed on the price of oil. Petroleum is what America runs on, and when the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel goes up, it raises the cost of everything. Evidently, Americans are more interested in being able to work and feed their families than in making sure that Iran doesn\u2019t have a nuclear capability in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n War at What Cost:<\/strong> While I believe that the President made the right choice on the war, his mistake was to listen to VP Vance and think that the Iranians would negotiate. Believing that Iran was willing to come to the table was a huge mistake made by Vance and the group of negotiators who were leading the ceasefire talks. Hindsight clearly tells us that once the decision was made to attack Iran, we should not have stopped until the regime fell. The break that Vance and his group gave Iran was their opportunity to regroup, grab as much money as they could and restock their supplies of ballistic missiles and drones. Our Vice President would do well to spend some time reading The Art of War<\/em> by Sun Tzu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The IRGC and Mullahs Will Never Surrender:<\/strong> The reason Iran is so formidable is that its leaders are motivated ideologically by the clergy and rule with an iron hand, which is why they are willing to kill their own citizens who rebel against them. To date, it is estimated that they have killed over 40,000 of their own people, and they will continue to do so if there are any further protests against the current regime. Unfortunately, these mass executions of their own people have destroyed the people\u2019s will to fight back against the IRGC. I believe there are two possible solutions to end this war with Iran. The first: since we as a nation do not want boots on the ground, the only alternative is to totally pummel Iran\u2019s infrastructure with air strikes and make sure they cannot resurrect their nuclear facilities. This must be done while Trump is still in charge, as the Democrats and many of the Republicans are going to cut any funds that might be used for further activity in the Iran war, and he has only 56 days left to do it. The second choice would be to try to form a coalition with the Gulf States that will push for change in the current Iranian regime. It is doubtful that the second choice will happen, as the Iranians would have to capitulate to change, and it\u2019s doubtful they will ever agree to that loss of power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Shifting Electorate in America:<\/strong> This election created a serious shift in support away from the Republicans by young white males 19 to 30 and Hispanics, as they moved sharply to the left, leaving us with a group of new radical Democrats who are promoting socialism. Attacks on the Jewish community seem to be the latest problem that has developed, and it does not appear that many of these newly elected Democrats are interested in quelling this new antisemitism. These are radical groups, bought and paid for by radical factions who want to promote anger and hate, and they are cropping up all over the country. As I have said many times in my articles, the shift that has taken place in our country is due to the liberalization of our colleges and universities over the past 40 years. They have created this new group of voters, Millennials and Gen Z, who make up 43% of the U.S. voting population, and they are now flexing their voting muscles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n America Has Been Under Attack by the Left Since the Election of Obama:<\/strong> He did nothing but travel around the world and apologize for America\u2019s greatness for the eight years he was in office. One only has to remember the made-up \u201cRussia, Russia, Russia\u201d scandal that went on for Trump\u2019s first four years. None of the Democrats ever thought Trump would be elected running against Hillary. A funny thing happened on the way to the White House, as we all found out just how corrupt and desperate the Democrats were to stay in power. Trump is truly the great disrupter of the left\u2019s plan to take our country down the road to perdition. While I still question the validity of Biden\u2019s election and how he obtained the office of President without leaving his basement, it showed me that our government and its agencies were all inhabited and controlled by the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why This Historic Blue Tsunami Could End in Tears for the Democrats:<\/strong> The party\u2019s sweeping gains were a crushing blow to Trump because of the high cost of essentials like gas and food, along with the Iran war. Trump has two more years, and that could become the Democrats\u2019 next political headache. It will be difficult for the Democrats to pass their legislative agenda, as Trump has veto power, which will kill many of their agenda items. While the Democrats could attempt to negotiate deals, my bet is that they will go back to their old ways. They will prioritize confrontation and make another attempt at impeaching Trump and others in his administration. If they follow this old path, it will once again remind Americans who they really are. While Trump has expressed a willingness to work with the Democrats, he will not be afraid to use his power to veto any legislation he does not agree with. My bet is that all of the new and old Dems have TDS and will go back to their old ways of investigating him and his team, as their key words since winning both houses have been \u201cLawyer Up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n By Adding 30 Progressives, We Are Going to Have a Chaotic Two Years Ahead of Us:<\/strong> This two-party system always seems to be in some sort of turmoil, and I have said many times in previous articles that the only way to reform the system is to set term limits. A time-out period is the only way to kill the lobbying and force politicians to focus on the long term rather than the next election. Economically, things do not look as encouraging for the next two years as they previously did. We will see more attempts to pass much of the same legislation and regulation that we saw in the four years of Joe Biden\u2019s presidency. One of James Carville\u2019s infamous slogans was \u201cIt\u2019s the economy, stupid.\u201d I believe that this time it will be \u201cIt\u2019s the corruption, stupid.\u201d We have seen just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to corruption, with an estimated $250 billion of fraud discovered so far. The Dems will vote to raise the minimum wage, eliminate tax cuts on incomes over half a million a year, push for healthcare for all and maybe even pass a rule to ban stock trading (talk about corruption). The deficit will continue to grow, and the Dems will not realize that their support for the Ukraine war will continue to keep food and energy prices high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What About the Presidential Election in 2028?<\/strong> My bet is that for the next two years the Democrats will accomplish little to nothing except to create more lawfare and disruption. This will cause the Republicans to take back the presidency in a landslide, as for the next two years Congress will look like a food fight in a high school cafeteria. What will be in store for the 2028 Congress? I think that those who voted in the crazies to get their misplaced pound of flesh from Trump this year will figure out that they did not fix the problem.
