Because the legacy media and Democratic lawmakers don’t seem to see anything wrong with it.

Coming just a month after the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk, this should have sparked nationwide outrage. Instead, there’s barely a peep from Democratic leaders.

What are they talking about instead? Finding ways to criticize President Trump for making peace in the Middle East. Complaining that his administration managed to pay our troops despite the Schumer Shutdown. Demanding that we all disavow people who said naughty words in private chats.

Not a word about a Democratic candidate wishing death on his opponent’s family. Not a word about the leftist influencers who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death.

Folks, I don’t condone using demeaning language toward anyone, even in private, but the truth is that political violence is on the rise in this country—and it’s not coming from the right. Leftists have long treated their violence as “free speech”—just look at the destruction following George Floyd’s death in 2020—but they have also redefined free speech itself as a form of violence. Anytime a conservative speaks on a college campus, their words are often labeled as making people feel “unsafe.”

Give me a break.

Violence is violence, and speech is speech. Violence is immoral, illegal, and must be prosecuted. That includes specific threats to commit violence.

Speech, on the other hand, is the bedrock of a free society. That doesn’t mean words are without consequences—if a Republican candidate had said what this Democrat said, you can bet I’d be calling on him to step down, even if it meant losing an important seat.

Charlie Kirk never called for anyone to be killed. He didn’t wish death on those who disagreed. On the contrary, he welcomed them to the front of the line. How much more American can you get?

I wish I could say this was the dawn of a new era of peace in our country, but I’m extremely concerned. A recent poll showed that 25% of those calling themselves “very liberal” believe violence against political enemies is justified. Many of those same people celebrated a year ago when a healthcare CEO—a husband and father—was murdered in the street.

Now they ignore—or even justify—a top Democrat’s wish that his opponent’s family be murdered.

Our country is headed in a dangerous direction. It’s time for the opposing party to get its house in order—before they unleash even more chaos on the innocent people of this nation.

If you only watch the so-called mainstream media, you might not have heard that the Democratic candidate for Attorney General, Jay Jones, in Virginia sent text messages wishing death not only on his Republican opponent, Attorney General Jason Miyares, but also on Miyares’ wife and young children.
