{"id":11246,"date":"2021-11-18T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gemstatepatriot.com\/blog\/?p=11246"},"modified":"2024-09-23T23:21:43","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T05:21:43","slug":"congressman-fulcher-leads-challenge-against-president-bidens-vaccine-mandate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gemstatepatriot.com\/blog\/congressman-fulcher-leads-challenge-against-president-bidens-vaccine-mandate\/","title":{"rendered":"Congressman Fulcher Leads Challenge Against President Biden\u2019s Vaccine Mandate"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WASHINGTON, DC\u2014 Shortly after the Department of Labor announced their rule mandating vaccines for businesses with over 100 employees, Congressman Fulcher and his Republican colleagues in the Education and Labor Committee led the effort to introduce a Congressional Review Act (CRA) to nullify OSHA&#8217;s new emergency temporary standard mandating vaccines for private sector employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CRA includes 155 total Members cosponsoring on the House side and is joined by a companion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/senate-republicans-challenge-biden-osha-vaccine-mandate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bill led by Senator Mike Braun (R-IN)<\/a> in the Senate with all 50 Republican Senators as cosponsors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congressman Fulcher commented,<em> &#8220;The Congressional Review Act is an important tool to provide legislative oversight regarding rulemaking of executive agency bureaucrats who were not elected and are not held accountable by their constituents. This rule impacts not only the independence of our private businesses, but also the confidential and private nature of our health decisions. I join my Idaho constituents and our lawmakers back home in fighting against this unconstitutional federal intrusion into our lives.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/sgp.fas.org\/crs\/misc\/R43992.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Congressional Review Act<\/a> is a tool used by Congress to exercise oversight, and potentially undo, regulations created by a federal agency. This has the potential to force a vote on the issue, ensuring Members of Congress are officially on the record and held accountable.
