As we get closer to the primary elections it is important that the citizens of Idaho know just who is helping them and who is hurting them in the legislature. Many of you don’t have the time or maybe even the energy after a long day at work to look for the information that the Idaho Freedom Foundation offers when it comes to who votes conservative amongst our Republican legislators.
We have taken the time to scan their files so you can see who is voting to help their constituents and who is voting to be sure they remain in the favor of IACI and lobbyists. The upcoming primary elections will be one of the most important in our history as we believe it could be a critical turning point for our state. We have been writing about the history of Idaho politics during the past two decades and hope we have at least reached some of you who have been filled with misinformation by the liberal media.
When we look at what has and still is going on in the Treasure Valley during this Covid Emergency declared by our Governor we find that our state capital is being run by one of the most liberal Mayors in Boise’s history. Mayor McLean has shown her true collars during this emergency by acting like the Queen of Boise dictating what its residents can and can’t do. From turning down the building for a new rescue mission “Not in My Backyard” so these homeless can get a good meal and out of the cold to requiring mask mandates for everyone.
Mayor McClean and the new president of Boise State University, Dr. Marlene Tromp, are the tip of the liberal spear that are turning our once conservative city into a virtual swamp for liberal values. Actually it is fitting for this transition to be taking place when you look at the rankings by the IFF of our legislators who have done a complete turnaround from conservative too liberal in the last two decades.
The citizens of the Treasure Valley and especially Boise have seen their constitutional rights trampled on, as political dictator’s arbitrarily closed up small businesses, imposed fines for noncompliance, imposed mask mandates and stood by while our major healthcare facilities required covid vaccinations for their employees if they wanted to keep their jobs. We even discovered that Critical Race Theory was being taught to our children without their parent’s knowledge.
Now if that’s not bad enough we have a Governor who believes he is the King of Idaho and should be allowed to dictate along with his crony buddies where $18 billion of federal funds should be allocated without any consultation with our state legislators. We have seen property taxes go through the roof while there is a $1.9 billion budget surplus which I can assure you will not be returned to the people who paid to have that surplus. The crony republicans in our legislature decided they would cut the income tax by 0.5%. So who does that help besides the wealthy who are earning six figure salaries and the corporations who are members of IACI sucking up the balance? The average Joe gets nothing but scraps from the table. Even the scraps from the table are costing more with inflation at over 7.5% and a grocery tax of 6%. You would think that these servants of the people would do the right thing and eliminate the grocery tax as they had promised to do two years ago.
Folks I’m telling you if you don’t wise up before the primary election you will continue to see our government trample your rights while killing you with higher taxes each and every year. It is time for you to wake up and understand the cold hard facts about your legislators. These ratings are direct from the Idaho Freedom Foundation “Freedom Index” which rates how conservative your legislators are voting. Please play attention. We are only going to give you the rankings of Republicans who say they are conservative but have a voting average of 70% or lower on conservative issues

If you look at the makeup of Idaho’s Senate, there are only 35 Senate Seats — 28 of which are held by Republicans. Of those 28 Republicans, 24 vote conservatively less than 70% of the time.
Is it any wonder that we still have a grocery tax and no property tax reform? Is it any wonder that with representatives like this in our senate, that Governor Little has kept Idaho in a state of emergency for two years and allocated $18 billion in federal funds without so much as a “Just Wait One Minute” from this group?
These are the same people who have said to you that they are conservative and have an R next to their name on the voting ballot. These people are the ones that need to be removed from office in the next election. If you want to take your state back you will find replacements for these phony conservatives. Only you can make this happen.
