While last week’s Benghazi hearing focused on what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, it’s what she didn’t say that should have everyone concerned.
The New American reported in 2012 that the Obama administration was arming jihadists in Libya and Syria through the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. The article asked many great questions that should have been asked at last week’s hearing, but either she was never asked them, never directly answered or flatly denied knowing.
As Alex Newman wrote in The New American article, “In her latest round of testimony on the Benghazi attack that left four Americans dead, Hillary Clinton, secretary of state at the time of the attack, was exposed as a liar. But she was careful to avoid any ‘serious’ scrutiny of the 800-pound gorilla in the room: the Obama administration’s widely reported gun-running programs for jihadists battling former U.S. government terror-war allies in Libya and Syria.”

What should we take away from this? A government that operates outside of its constitutional limitations forfeits accountability. It bulwarks itself against responsibility and knows how to play the blame game in order to continue its unconstitutional grab of power over the American people and its run to fulfill a reckless foreign policy.
