Being born in the 1940’s I have had the advantage of seeing quite a bit in my life in terms of change. One of those is the slow but sure change in church attendance, and the slow but sure change in moral and ethical values. Some call it the decline of religiosity. If you look at a chart of religion in America, you can see a decline that began back in the mid 1950’s and has been in a steady decline through the 60’s and 70’s and steep decline since the 1980’s. This becomes more prominent as we look at the decline of religion in our schools, government and our daily home life as we have slowly but surely seen God taken out of our lives. When religion is taken out of our civilized lives conflict soon follows.
We have seen this conflict rear its ugly head in our inner cities where African Americans who have been totally forgotten by the Democratic Politicians who control their cities and which they have consistently elected year after year. These are the same liberal Democrats who have attacked the bibles in our schools, the word God on our buildings and the word God in our Pledge of Allegiance. There has also been a significant decay of the family unit especially among African Americans where they currently have the highest poverty rate of 27.4% and 45.8% of young black children under six years of age live in poverty.
The progressive liberals have been able to move 47% of the American people onto some sort of government assistance so that many are now dependent instead of being self-supporting. This is how you change a nation by overloading the welfare rolls and government giveaways. This is the first step to moving America to socialism. The reason that we have seen the Democrats moving so far to the left and offering unbelievable government gifts to the masses is to create an ever dependent public. Eventually they succumb to all of these supposedly free government goodies because of a horrible job market, low paying jobs with 30 or less hours per week or work and little or no benefits.
You would think that when people fall on hard times as in the past they would turn to religion, and support from their church. The liberals in government have been successful at supplanting religion and faith with government handouts. The government would like to control our lives from cradle to grave and they are very close to achieving their goal. They would like to do away with the name United State of America for the sake of Globalization. If we don’t turn this around in this election we will see things that have only been seen in science fiction and horror movies.
We must have hope if we are to survive as a people and a country. Government has been doing its best to destroy that hope at every turn with over-reaching regulations that cost us money, intrusions on our privacy and rules that make no sense like transgender bathrooms and what our children will be taught in the schools we pay for. They have been trying to take away our identity and dignity for 50 years, and it’s time to say “No More” and take our country back. It’s time to bring God and family back into our lives where people know right from wrong and the quest for power and money becomes a quest for good will to our neighbors and faith that we can do better if we work hard and trust in God.
Let’s change this country back by becoming informed voters, going to the polls in November and picking the candidate that will Make America Great Again.
