I have been listening to the latest comments on the Trump tariffs and the continued DOGE purge of corruption in Washington’s multilayered bureaucracy. As the left continues to shop for liberal judges to file lawsuits to stop Trump and Musk’s progress, they continue reorganizing our bloated and inefficient government agencies. Let me speak from the point of view of an almost 80-year-old conservative who has been collecting Social Security, which I paid into for over 50 years. What has been uncovered about the number of ineligible people who are on social security and receiving benefits is a travesty and I for one congratulate Elon Musk and his crew of software engineers for their discovery.
I don’t just blame this on the Democrats but also the Republicans who never did anything to fix the overstaffing and corruption that has been discovered in what we all call the swamp. It is time to clean house and the Trump administration is like a huge vacuum cleaner sucking up all of the waste over staffing and corruption and ejecting it into the Potomac. This party has been going on for decades in the Washington bureaucracy. It is finally coming to an end and you can tell the people who have been responsible for all of the inefficiencies, waste, and corruption by their cries of foul on the leftist media stations.
We are about to enter a new era of growth in our country but first, we must fix the problems that have been plaguing us economically for decades because we tried to take care of the world before taking care of our own people. Globalization is dead, the WTO is dead, Climate Change is dead Unfair Tariffs are dead. It will take some time to reorganize our economy that has been literally limping along for some time because of the misplaced values of the people we elected to lead our nation. We finally have a president who understands economics, business, and how to negotiate deals and who wants America and its citizens to be successful and prosperous.
This change which is in progress is going to cause some pain to many but I personally believe we will all be pleased with the end result. There have only been a few presidents in our past history who have wanted to help the workers of our country and they are Regan, Ross Perrot, and Donald Trump. Pat Buchanan said it best back in 1998 and here are some of his quotes that are pretty much the foundation of what Trump is trying to do today.
- The question we Americans need to address, before it is answered for us, is: Does this First World nation wish to become a Third World country? Because that is our destiny if we do not build a sea wall against the waves of immigration rolling over our shores.
- Stop exporting American jobs. Stop exporting American factories and stop exporting American sovereignty and independence to global institutions like the World Trade Organization.
- Tariffs & protectionism was written into every Republican platform from 1880 to 1944, all the way from Lincoln to Theodore Roosevelt to the late 1940s. The Republican Party was a party of economic nationalism.
- The American tradition of Washington, Hamilton, Madison, Lincoln, and Pat Buchanan is of economic nationalism—making America an independent, self-sufficient, sovereign forever country that’s able to stand on its own two feet.
These are all of the things that Trump is currently putting into effect but he is also cleaning house in the corrupt Washington bureaucracy.
All the while Trump is trying to Make America Great Again with these policies the left is trying to create panic and the corporate media are supporting them 100%. As you watch the news on liberal media you can clearly see that Trump is moving in the right direction. He is getting rid of corruption in our government and putting sound economic policies into place that will propel us back to be even more prosperous than in his first term. America’s working class has been forgotten for the past 36 years since Regan and it is high time that we reverse the damage created by a bunch of inept politicians who have come close to destroying this group of Americans who have been the backbone of our nation.
While Democrats are screaming foul Trump is trying to find a happy medium and engage our trading partners in reciprocal tariffs. What President Trump is doing is trying to bring some sanity back to U.S. trade with foreign nations who have for decades had unfair tariffs on American goods and services. As he has said many times the tariffs he is imposing on our trading partners are a first step in bargaining equalization of fair trade. Could this cause higher prices on some imported products? The answer is, of course, it can but it will also bring some equilibrium to imported products vs U.S. competitors. Buy American and avoid the tariffs.
America is 37 Trillion dollars in debt and this is not sustainable and soon we will be paying more in annual interest on our debt than we spend on the defense of our country. These changes will not come without pain but if Trump is correct in his policies and I firmly believe he is we are going to actually have an opportunity to see a New Golden Age. Don’t listen to the deception of the left who gave us Joe Biden. Trump has not even been in office for 3 months and he is keeping his promises. We see how he has closed our borders, found the corruption and theft of our tax dollars, and is rounding up and deporting the illegal criminals. We had four years of one of the best economies in our history during Trump’s first term. He kept his promises then and I believe he will keep them now. If you feel a little pain from Trump’s policies just think of how things would be if Kamala had been elected and we had four more years of Climate Change, DEI, and higher inflation.
