Let the Woke Go Broke

I want to be very clear that when I talk of a New Great Awakening that must happen in our country I am specifically talking of a spiritual awaking. But I also want to promote the idea that is anything but new, that patriotic Americans need to stand up for Patriotic business, and cities and states that stand for traditional American values. I still believe that most Americans believe in American values and virtues. But just like Ron DeSantis did when he stood up to “Disney Wokeness” we as individuals need to stand up to corporate, civil, and even ecclesiastical wokeness.

An institutional moral decay that begins with the leaders in our government, schools, business and churches, has permeated into our neighborhoods and families. America survived a great Civil War, two World Wars, and fought the greatest war of all time without ever firing a shot—thank you Ronald Reagan, who showed us what great moral leadership looked like. Virtue rises from the bottom up. From individuals to businesses and then to our elected officials. If the people don’t stand on moral principles, then what right do we have to ask our elected officials to conduct their business in an ethical way?

An “economic revolution” in the American marketplace needs to be part of our return to moral governance. Don’t take your family to Disney World or Land—their world is different than yours. Don’t go to the big cities like New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, or Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, or LA. Don’t buy Budweiser wokeness beer—see what a few patriotic distributors did when corporate marketing geniuses decided to disguise their beer cans in wokeness.

We are suffering from the ravages of wokeness in our country. Here is an idea for Budweiser—how about putting the Ten Commandments on a can of beer! Maybe some drunk guy or gal may wake up and with blurred vision look at the beer can and have a “come to Jesus” moment—even if it is just one person the message would have been successful. But seriously how many of the executives in our companies today, or our politicians, or “New Age Life Coaches” can even name the Ten Commandments? How can they advocate for moral or social justice—neither of which are grounded in Biblical Justice or Natural Law Theory, when they haven’t learned or come to respect the moral underpinnings of what it means to be an American. How many PHD. College Professors or college administrators at our State Universities can recite the Ten Commandments? How can they begin to even discuss morality or social justice? What about Ibrim X. Kendi or Dr. Marlene Tromp. Martin Luther King could and so Frederick Douglas and Abraham Lincoln. When factions have differences of opinion they can always come together if they share common values. When one side creates their own set of humanistic demands, there is no common ground to be found.

How many of our corporate leaders or their children have served in the military? A generation ago and back, it was a large percentage of the leadership class in our country had served. Same could be said about our politicians.

And what about the moral leadership we are watching at the Pentagon with our senior military leaders? Is it any wonder that reenlistments are drastically down, and that none of the military branches are able to reach their recruitment goals since Joe Biden has become Commander in Chief?

Let’s have an American economic revolution. Let WOKE GO BROKE. Buy American.
