Governor Little, Please Stop the Torture of our Elderly

Dear Governor Little,

I’m speaking on behalf of my elderly mom, age 88 as well as all of the elderly that are suffering the consequences of the Covid-19 responses. We are months beyond “flattening the curve” and now the focus is “positive cases”. The extreme measures taken whenever these “positive” cases are reported are destroying the lives of the forgotten elderly. When the residents of these care facilities are denied visits from family and friends, outings with loved ones, not to mention cancelled indoor activities to limit social interaction due to the “social distancing” guidelines, every simple pleasure is taken from them. A nurse at my mom’s place told me that she sees the elderly literally “dying of depression”. They tell her they’d rather take the virus if they can only see family. Often they are quarantined in their rooms! Isolation is a form of torture for prisoners of war, how can this be done to the elderly in America?

My mom has lost 6 sons and a daughter. She is part of that greatest generation who lived through the hardships of WWll. She cries every day because she just wants to die, her days run together with nothing to look forward to. The halls are empty, she has no more visiting pastor to engage in church service, she can’t have visitors and when we visit her outside, it’s in the freezing cold. And can you imagine not being able to leave a building for months on end, no fall leaves to enjoy, no change of scenery day after day? We are soon upon the holidays, and this cruelty cannot continue. For her sake or truly any elderly of any generation, they do not deserve to spend their final years like this. We will be in their shoes before we know it, life is so short. We must treat them as we want to be treated.

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare threaten these facilities with their licenses when “recommendations” are not followed. I don’t blame the facilities, they hate what this is doing to the elderly. This department is not promoting “health and welfare” but just the opposite by these cruel, unreasonable restrictions. But I understand the director is under your guidance. That is why I am writing you and asking that you please immediately change your policy in how you direct this department.

Lest you think I don’t care for the elderly getting infected, I am including plenty of resources, indeed as time goes on there are many attorneys, scientists, doctors and other experts globally publicizing facts in regards to this virus. But I do include information from the CDC and the WHO as they seem to be the standard source for governing guidelines.

Attorney Dr. Reiner Fuellmich is one of four founding members of the German Corona Extra Parliamentary Inquiry launched July 10, 2020. He is involved in an international class action lawsuit filed against those responsible for this detrimental global lockdown. Though there are so many sources I could draw from, I find his to be most concise.

Here are among his findings;

-PCR tests are expressly not approved for diagnostic purposes repeatedly stated by inventor, Kary Mullis. Even the CDC states in one of its publications on the coronavirus and PCR tests dated July 13, 2020 that if someone tests positive, it does not mean that they’re infected with anything.

Dr. Mike Yeadon, a former Vice President and Chief Science Officer for Pfizer for 16 years, says that half or even “almost all” of tests for COVID are false positives.

The WHO stated at a meeting Oct. 5 that already 10% of world population is infected with virus (780,000,000), of those infected the deaths are 1,063,000 so infection fatality rate is 0.14% of people infected, equal to a normal flu.

The virus has not been scientifically isolated by anybody, nowhere is the virus according to the Koch’s postulates, namely in that it has not been isolated or thoroughly proven to be causing this disease.

Even CDC admits that the virus has not been isolated SO what is actually being treated out there, flu with more corona virus in it? Treated w lockdown, mask mandate, quarantine?

Even WHO is starting to get cold feet, on Oct 12 said to end the lockdown

No Corona Pandemic but PCR test pandemic.

The World Health Organization’s special envoy on COVID-19 urged world leaders this week to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method.”

“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Dr. David Nabarro said to The Spectator’s Andrew Neil. “The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”

Thousands of medical experts have signed their names to a petition:

“As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists, we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection,” read the petition, known as the Great Barrington Declaration. “Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health.”

Governor Little, you know that life has risks. Sadly people die of the flu, but we’ve never had our constitutional rights suspended to combat the flu. Far more people die in car accidents yet the government hasn’t attempted to stop us from driving. 1 in two men and 1 in three women on average get cancer, yet this far more deadly disease has not been responded to in a way that would suspend our freedoms while attempting to lower cancer rates. The response to this virus that has a 0.14% mortality rate of those infected has been far more deadly with the skyrocketing suicide rates, domestic violence on the increase, businesses that will never reopen and back to perhaps the most helpless, and the elderly. Try to imagine dying of depression, with nothing to live for. Please consider these elderly today, the holidays are upon us soon but today matters, you can end this suffering today and I ask that you please do so.

Thank you,

Sincerely,
Mary Kay Alix

These are Mary K’s notes from her testimony at the Capital.

Good afternoon. I’m speaking in favor of HOUSE BILL 601

My name is Mary Kay and I am one of the two remaining of my mom’s nine children and she lived with my family until recent years when she moved to assisted living. She was doing well until the Covid response was implemented when “2 weeks to flatten the curve” turned in to two, three, four months… (and now 2 years)

I quickly saw my mom decline mentally and physically from the isolation, the lack of activity, seeing masked faces rather than human expression for her new world. She is sadly, one of the many casualties of the intense suffering caused by the response to the virus. I speak not only for her, but for all the elderly who have suffered cruelly by these “guidelines” which have all been under the pretense that it’s for their safety.

Everyday she cried on the phone because she simply wanted to die, her days were so empty, purposeless and deprived of the simple joys of seeing loved ones. I do not blame the facilities nor the staff, they hated it. A nurse at her residence told me that she witnessed those elderly literally dying of depression and loneliness. They told the nurse that they’d rather get the Covid if they can just see their families. As the months passed my mom’s depression increased, her memory declined (by the way, dementia and alzheimers rates increased following the lockdowns-we are not meant to be socially isolated), she was forced to move to memory care where she nearly lost her mind, she became angry, hollered at people-she became a totally different person. The thoughts of my mom suffering like that and the many helpless elderly- ending their days in such misery kept me up at night.

Restrictions in memory care were even worse than my mom’s former residence. She had to start her stay in her new home quarantined 10 days in her room. The unvaccinated were separated from the vaccinated, if I wanted to take her out it had to be for a medical visit, where I’d have to social distance from her and wear a mask-no hugs, smiles were hidden from the mask…and then her return to a possible quarantine. My mom has never fully recovered from the trauma of the Covid response and I can only wonder how many countless elderly have died of loneliness. That is tragedy beyond words and it should have never happened.

In looking for answers, I learned that It was the Department of Health and Welfare that imposed the harsh restrictions on these facilities and if the “guidelines” were not followed, licenses were threatened or stays placed on facilities. The State Health Department was not helping the elderly, it was hurting them. In fact, this treatment is abusive.

Our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Nuremberg Code have all been ignored during this “State of Emergency”. I contacted legislators for help, but their hands were largely tied. One legislator I spoke to gave me the same answer the governor’s office gave me, “We need to stay in a state of emergency for the funding”. Yet, I’ve talked to small business owners whose businesses are suffering because they can’t get workers due to this “funding”. Why work when you can get paid to stay home? Again, the response to the virus has done more damage than the virus itself.

But only God knows the true motive for supporting these measures for a virus with a 99% survival rate for most. I do know that the bible says that, “The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil”, and “what does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and loses his soul?”

And Jesus said, “What you do to the least of these you do to me”-God cares about people and He sees the injustices and cruelty done to the lonely, forgotten elderly.

As a Christian I appeal to you not from my opinion but from Moral Law Giver, our Creator from whom we derive “right” and “wrong”, and from whom we will answer to for how we have lived. We are to honor the elderly, this bill must be supported and in fact, all restrictions should be lifted from these facilities and the elderly should be permitted to live free, to go outside this spring, to have their pastor perform bible studies again, to enjoy musicians and activities the remainder of their days, to see faces with expressions and smiles, not masks-they deserve it. Some of them fought for our freedoms, we have no right to deny theirs.

The virus is not the only threat to their health, just go visit one of those lonely souls who have been locked up for months-and remember that soon we will be in their shoes and soon we will all stand before the Judge of all the earth.

We have dear friends in a facility for elderly people, and are able to visit them any time we want to, as well as all of their family members. We do have to wear a mask and have our temperature taken, but do not find this intrusive.

Thank you for posting Mary Kay Alix’s letter and information. This is a message that desperately needs to be echoed. Thank you to Gem State Patriot.

Thank you, Gem State Patriot for posting this letter to Governor Little that my sister took the time to write. Since she lives much closer to my mom than I do, she has seen the suffering first hand. When we would visit our mom (from out of state), we would have to sit outside in the freezing cold piled under blankets. We were not allowed inside, even masked, gowned, etc. My daughter, her granddaughter, drove many hundreds of miles to see her and she had to talk to her peeking over a fence over 20′ away, never able to hug or hold her. So cruel. The damage this has done to our elderly, our ‘greatest generation’ is inexcusable and unforgivable if not for the grace of Jesus. The endless quarantining has done irreparable damage, absolutely shameful. While I agree the elderly need to be protected, the over-the-top measures mandated by the Idaho Health Department is nothing less than tyrannical power and control. I pray that Governor Little will read her beautifully written letter in its entirety and with an open heart and mind.

I’m a home health and hospice nurse. I agree with all that was stated. Currently I remove the idiotic mask the moment I’m alone with the patient. They’re done and so am I. For two years they couldn’t even hear me. I’ve had covid and I have seen more vaxx injuries in 2021 than you can believe. We have frightened people and coerced them into poisoning themselves. It’s criminal.

We must never forget that governments primary job is to “secure these rights-life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, these rights can’t be taken away as they come from our Creator, please read the Declaration of Independence. If we forget this we will continue to lose our freedoms where we are no longer “governed by God, but ruled by tyrants.” William Penn
The more we trust government with our health and daily decisions, the unhealthier and less free we become. Trust God, He gave us an amazing immune system and He loves us-government gave an unhealthy, depressed, divided and unhappy society-and they certainly don’t love us (there are a few exceptions who do care, we just need more of them who understand the limited role of government).
