WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Fulcher made the following statement concerning the passage of the House version of the National Defense Authorization Act: “The National Defense Authorization Act holds the Pentagon accountable, cuts wasteful spending, modernizes weapons to defend our nation, and counters China, Russia, and other threats. This bill also restores honor to the 8,000 servicemembers wrongfully discharged for failing to get the COVID-19 vaccines by ensuring a pathway back to serve their country in uniform.”
Fulcher continued: “In addition, H.R. 2670 gives our men and women in uniform a 5.2% pay increase, helps servicemembers deal with rising housing costs, and keeps the Biden Administration from compromising military readiness. This NDAA will also help prepare our next generation of military equipment and technology, and keep our relationship with Israel strong.”
