Congressman Fulcher Votes to Fully Fund Veteran Health Care and Benefits Programs

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher released the following statement after voting in favor of the Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill, H.R. 8580:

“Supporting the men and women who served in our nation’s armed forces is of the utmost importance,” said Congressman Fulcher. “Today, I voted to advance the Fiscal Year 2025 Military, Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill to fully fund essential veteran health care programs and benefits. In addition to reinforcing our commitment to service members, this legislation bolsters our national security and holds the Executive Branch accountable by ensuring American tax dollars are not used for abortion, or to fund far-left programs such as Critical Race Theory. I am dedicated to helping our veterans and will continue to get them the support they need, and deserve, by advancing critical pieces of legislation such as this.”

Bill Highlights:

  • Fully funds veteran health care and benefits programs
  • Supports American values and principles by prohibiting the VA from processing medical care claims for illegal immigrants
  • Protects the 2nd Amendment rights of veterans, preventing VA from sending information to the FBI about veterans without a judge’s consent
