When we look back in history at the Black Robed Regiment, we are reminded of men of God who spoke out concerning the issues of the day. These pastors and deacons of colonial America were especially instrumental in winning America’s independence. Every Sunday they would go to their pulpits and preach the word of God without fear of retribution. These men of God would basically tell people what or who they should and should not vote for, because they understood that in order to have a great government, you must have great citizens. The way that you gain great citizens is to have people who are rooted in the foundation of the Word of God. Church attendance in those days was pretty much a given for most everyone and people needed to believe if they were to survive. Church was a place where everyone would get together and talk about their problems and issues.
Today we hear very little political speak from the pulpits of our churches because it would be politically incorrect to mix politics and the Word of God in the same sermon. Ministers of every denomination are fearful of the left and being criticized for uttering a word about political issues that affect our everyday life because it is not politically correct. Many of us are becoming ever more concerned about the current state of our nation and the direction we are going, but few stand up and talk about it because it is not politically correct. People tell me every day how they love this country, this land, their family and their way of life. What bothers me is that these same people see the social conditions like gay marriage and Obamacare encroaching on the very lives they cherish but remain silent. If this is the Silent Majority you had better wake up and stand up for your freedoms or you will wake up one morning and those freedoms will all be gone along with the greatness of our country. We need to get rid of that go along to get along attitude.
Today we are dealing with an entirely different group of Black Robes. These are the Black Robes worn by the justices of our Supreme Court. These are the black robes of today who are stealing away our freedoms and liberty one decision at a time. These are the Black Robes that will be the demise of this country because of their politically correct decision making to appease the left wing progressives. The two most recent Supreme Court decisions to uphold subsidies for Obamacare and to sanction gay marriage in all 50 states is the beginning of the end for our country as we know it. We know we can’t trust our politicians, but now our problem has gotten worse as we have a group of justices who rather than cause controversy appease the progressives who are incrementally changing our society each and every day. We have gone from a government that left us alone to a government that wants to run our lives from cradle to grave.
Why has this transition taken place? Truth be known it’s been taking place for over 50 years ever so slowly each and every year. It is like the story about the frog being put into a pot of cold water, than ever so slowly the heat is turned up and the frog dies. We are the frogs sitting in the government’s pot, and it is starting to get hot. I fear if we don’t change our country in this next election we are doomed much like the historic Roman or Greek empires which eventually crumbled under the weight of government oppression and moral decay.

THE INTERNET HAS THOUSANDS OF SITES WITH CLEAR CONCISE INFORMATION ON THE ISSUES FACING OUR NATION AND OUR STATE. ONCE YOU ARE EDUCATED GO TO THE POLLS IN 2016 AND VOTE AS AN INFORMED CITIZEN. YOU ARE THE SILENT MAJORITY, AND YOU CAN CHANGE THIS COUNTRY.
