Our Worst Modern Day President?
From time to time you see rankings of American Presidents from the best to worst, consistently George Washington is ranked as the greatest. In the modern era it is a different story. I would put Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump in the running as our greatest of this past century and this could create a lively debate. When it comes to our worst President, and the jury may be out as we evaluate the current resident of the office, there is no doubt that it was Woodrow Wilson.
Wilson’s mistakes were either huge or disgusting and often times both and affect us to this very day. Wilson signed into law the income tax that is punitive and currently plagues America. The Federal Reserve, this private, secretive central bank that was created in 1913 and signed by Wilson has caused immense damage with its erratic, boom-bust approach to monetary policy. If you haven’t read the classic The Creature from Jekyll Island by Griffin you don’t understand this history. This central bank has created more economic mischief than any other federal initiative or institution in the last 100 years. He took up and established the Federal Trade Commission Act of 1914 with sweeping authority given to the federal government. He locked up dissident’s right and left as he trampled on the Constitution’s guarantees of speech, assembly and press freedoms. To consolidate the power to the federal government the 17th amendment adopted in 1913 that provided for direct election of Senators instead of their election by state legislatures. Sounds good, but that took away important oversight from the states to protect their rights and independence.
It is also worth noting that Wilson was a believer in global governance, which adds to his awful legacy. It was his idea for the League of Nations which the U.S. rejected but would be the forerunner of the United Nations. His foreign policy did significant damage to America and an excellent book on the subject by Jim Powell is entitled Wilson’s War. David Goldman describes Wilson’s approach this way, “So utterly utopian was Wilson’s vision that it is unfair to characterize the internationalism of Bill Clinton or George W. Bush as “Wilsonian.” Clinton and Bush threw America’s weight around after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but they did not propose as Wilson did to replace America’s sovereign decision-making with a global council. …”
Finally, Wilson was a racist. He segregated the military and the civil service and forced many African-American workers out of the employ of the federal government. His views and actions solidified Jim Crow in the South.
Now, I know what you are thinking – what is the point of this history lesson? Is it to convince us that Joe Biden might only be second worst of modern Presidents? Nope, there is a deeper lesson for us in Idaho. The election of 1912.
The Republican Party split when Teddy Roosevelt challenged William Howard Taft for his re-election bid. Taft received the nomination but Teddy formed a new group to run as a third party. The Democrats nominated the former President of Princeton University Woodrow Wilson. Because of the split Wilson won 41.8% of the vote while Roosevelt won only 27% while Taft took 23%.
What happened in Idaho four years ago in 2018? We had three major candidates running Raul Labrador, Tommy Ahlquist and the former Lt. Governor Brad Little. Mitt Romney endorsed Tommy Ahlquist. Charlie Kirk of Turning Point and Candace Owens both also endorsed Ahlquist. Raul Labrador, former Congressman, was the clear conservative and won the Panhandle with a plurality of the vote Raul was endorsed by Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz along with most state legislators from the Panhandle. Brad Little had the backing of Butch Otter, Senator Jim Risch, Congressman Mike Simpson, Speaker Scott Bedke and most liberals and the newspapers of Idaho. Most of us remember the results of that election. Little received 37% of the vote, Labrador 32.6% and Ahlquist 26.2%.
We know the results of the voting that November day and now we know the disastrous results of nearly four years of governance by Governor Brad Little! Will this happen again? Will we have four more years of arrogance and liberalism from an unqualified governor? We can add Brad Little’s name to the “Hall of Shame” along with Woodrow Wilson, but we don’t need four more years to solidify his credentials.
We have four major candidates for Governor in the Republican party for the May 2022 election. Little has raised more money than the other three combined and has the swamp behind him. There is no doubt that the other three running have strong conservative beliefs and a strong desire to move Idaho in the right direction. One candidate, Janice McGeachin has proven herself as a fighter. Will we unite to elect her as our next Governor? We need unity now! The same is true for Lt. Governor and uniting our support for Priscilla Giddings. The history lesson about the election of 1912 and the disastrous results is to remind us that elections have consequences. We need unity now!

I was ” all in” for Janice until she refused to debate Ammon Bundy and Ed Humphreys, the two other conservative candidates whose names you failed to mention. By refusing to debate unless Brad was involved, she presented herself to many conservatives as being “entitled”. Is that what you call a “fighter”? Donald Trump when he came down the escalator and said, “I’ll debate anybody, anyplace anytime”, showed the world that he was a “fighter”. There is still time for the three conservatives to have a series of debates—with or without Brad. An authentic way of consolidating the conservative base would be to let us see the three of them in action against each other and one month before the primary arrange for a “straw vote” run by all three campaigns and have the two candidates with the least support get behind the one remaining conservative. Until then I will give my time and support to Priscilla because she is a “true conservative” candidate who is willing to fight and debate “anybody, anyplace and anytime”.
McGeachin’s standing for the Citizens against “health” districts’ mandates was well thought out. It was a demonstration of the people’s right to decide for themselves how to deal with a virus. It gave little an opportunity to realize that he should have prevented lockdowns that destroyed many businesses and mandates that unconstitutionally interfered with our liberty. Little didn’t take that opportunity. He allowed the tyranny to be reinstated.
Janice is the only elected official who has hosted the weekly informational meeting, Capitol Clarity. She wants to encourage an informed Citizenry. This week, Thursday, the 17th the subject will be Education. Everyone is welcome. Lincoln Room at the Capitol at noon.
Little’s refusing to participate in debate where these things could be illuminated more clearly reinforces our certainty that Janice should be our next governor. He’s confident his money will guarantee re-election.
Let’s hope and pray Idaho’s elections can’t be bought
The sad truth is that Brad Little is going to benefit just as Wilson did. Little’s only strength is his connection to deep pockets. He’s not a good politician nor is he an inspiring public figure or orator. His “finger-in-the-wind” decision-making has been to cater to his donors – not to regular Idahoans.
McGeachin – as much as I would love to support her – is a wild card. Her moves to issue orders while Little was out of the State weren’t well thought-out no matter how well intentioned. Her political advisors have goaded her into some rash decisions which have pushed voters into the hands of…
Ammon Bundy, who is as much cowboy and maverick as anyone alive. And while Bundy speaks from a depth of knowledge about the Constitution and has the war scars to prove he’s a fighter, in most circles he’s still considered a fringe revolutionary.
Ed Humphreys faces the same problem most politicians do: name recognition. Except for Eastern Idaho, he’s an unknown. And all he’s doing at this point is pulling votes from the other conservative candidates, which will result in another primary victory for…
Brad Little. Sigh.
Great Post Blair. There are only three conservatives that can beat Brad in the primary. Russ Fulcher, Raul Labrador, and Mike Moyle. I believe in Idaho you can run for two offices at the same time. If we could get one of those three to also declare for Governor, without jeopardizing their current campaigns and positions, and if we could get the other three to drop out and support them, we might have a fighting chance. Both Ed and Ammon have gained ground over the past few months. Like you said both have baggage though they are good men and willing to fight for the people of Idaho and to be Governor. Janice is an outstanding person who has received incredibly poor political advice that has only damaged a campaign that in the beginning she could have won. By agreeing to debate early and often she could have shown conservatives that she was willing to fight for herself, for conservatives, and for the job. By not agreeing she presented herself as being entitled and not willing to fight. Very disappointing.
Both Idaho’s main stream Republican and Democratic parties are one in the same, a paid off, old school Uniparty.
Do your research and then “VOTE CONSERVATIVE”…….. DO NOT VOTE: uniparty, establishment, rino republican.
THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE BIBLICALLY ABOMINABLE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC’S ELECTIONS
The entire fraudulent Constitutional Republic’s election system of one-man/one-vote was erected on the constitutional framers’ fraud when they usurped Yahweh’s exclusive election authority (per Deuteronomy 17:15) thereby turning election “discretion” over to We the People!
One of the dumbest things the constitutional framers did was to usurp the Bible’s One-God/One-Vote election system turning it into a One-Man/One-Vote system, what amounts to nothing more than a popularity contest by We the People, the majority of whom, according to Christ in Matthew 7:13, are in the broad way leading to *destruction.* Gee, what could go wrong?
Add to that Article 6’s Christian test ban by which mandatory biblical qualifications (such as, Exodus 18:21) were eliminated and you have the perfect recipe disaster, which is exactly where America finds herself today, precipitously teetering on the precipice of moral depravity and *destruction.”
The very best that can ever come from the Constitutional Republic’s unbiblical elections system is the lesser of two evils. Sometimes, the worst of the worst. And always the evil of two lessers. This, juxtaposed with the Bible’s election system whereby you end up with the best of the best of two or more biblically qualified candidates, every single time.

To my friend Ted. We are not a theocracy. WE are a Christian Nation founded on Christian Principles by Christian people:
We are not a theocracy, but we most certainly are a Christian Nation founded by Christian People. An allegiance to God and a reliance on Devine Providence can be found in the Charters and Land Grants of all the original thirteen colonies. Theocracies and “Ecclesiastical Civil Governance” does not allow for a virtuous people to exercise their God given “free will”. Four Supreme Court cases have acknowledged this idea and none of them have ever been overturned. From Judge Brewers decision in HOLY TRINITY CHURCH vs THE UNITED STATES:
Four U.S. supreme Court Cases Describing
America as a “Christian Nation” (1844-1931)
In 1892, Justice Josiah David Brewer writing in Church of the Holy Trinity vs.
U.S., the unanimous supreme Court decision which has never been overturned, held as a
matter of law, fact, and history that
“…this is a Christian nation,” because our laws and public institutions are
founded on Biblical principles from the Old and New Testaments. Brewer
continues, “this is historically true. From the discovery of this continent to the
present hour, there is a single voice making this affirmation…we find everywhere
a clear recognition of the same truth…this is a Christian nation.”
There is an official foundation of American law and civil government; a Canon if you
will which must include consideration of at least four separate decisions of the U.S.
supreme Court which assert that the United States is in law, fact and history and should
thus properly be termed officially a “Christian Nation” because of the foundation of our
laws upon principles of the Ten Commandments and the Old and New Testaments.
Those Court decisions include Vidal v. Girard’s Executors, 2 How. 127, 197-199 (1844)
[cited in Marsh v. Chambers and Abinton v. Schempp]; Mormon Church v. United States,
136 U.S. 1 (1889), [also cited in Abington v. Schempp]; Church of the Holy Trinity v.
United States, 143 U.S. 457 (1892); and U.S. v. MacIntosh 283 U.S. 605 (1931).

I have no argument with folks who have a better candidate than Janice. My point is this: it is what it is! Choose the likely acceptable conservative winner over a perfect choice.
Let’s face it, we either unite and defeat Little or accept another four years of his power grabs.
You have to admit that watching her clash with the good old boys running the legislature could be entertaining.
Let’s get one of the candidates to run against Crapo, our two Senators are serious disappointments.
I have to agree with Dr. Livingston about Janice McGeachin, she shot herself in the foot as a serious contender with some of us when she refused to debate with the other candidates, followed by some other errors in judgement. She has some good qualities and seemed to be a fighter, but has twice dropped the ball.
